Just want to say hi. Been trawling through the forum reading up about various bits and looking at some great pics.

First click with new lens
Been out of photography for years…just bought a Rebel XS to make sure I wanted to get back to it…have a lot to re-learn. Just got my Canon 50/1.4 and here’s the first picture…not the best exposure but I couldn’t resist

Hi all
Just starting out with SLR photography, got myself a D5000 at Christmas.
Took this shot as a bit of an opportunity on a recent work trip. Lens is the kit 18-55.
Metadata – F/13, 1/160, ISO200, focal length 18mm.
No filters were used, and I’ve done a bit of post-processing in Capture NX2 to boost the contrast [...]
